What does the acquisition of ShareFile mean for MFT?
In 2024, Progress Software acquired ShareFile from Citrix for $875M USD. Progress will quickly want a return on their investment and customers should understand the impact this will have on their own bottom line. MOVEit could see diminishing attention from Progress management as they attempt to cross-sell ShareFile into existing accounts.
How much time can Progress Software dedicate to individual solutions?
Presented with a crowded portfolio of varying types of solutions, customers should be asking how much R&D and support resources are likely to be dedicated to the MOVEit product line – especially since recent headlines have reduced some its former prestige.
Can MOVEit catch up to its competitors?
MOVEit may be held back in the market because they lack some features that customers expect from their MFT solutions.
